Tree Vandalism—Between June 4 and July 31 at Via Arriba Court. A person arrived home after two months to find an oak tree on her property dying. She talked to an arborist who said that someone had damaged the roots of the tree. She believes that a neighbor might be involved in some way.
Credit Card Theft—Between Aug. 15 at 1 p.m. and Aug. 16 at 5 p.m. on Teerlink Drive. A person was notified by a business that his credit card had been used to order a Sony PlayStation. The person then canceled his credit card. The PlayStation was to be shipped to an address in Brooklyn, N.Y. The information is being forwarded to the appropriate agency in New York.
Red Eyes—On Aug. 17 at 8:35 p.m. on Prospect Road. A person damaged a golf cart. He had an odor of alcohol and had red eyes and slurred speech. He also threatened to kill an employee. The person had to be removed with some force. He was booked into the main jail.
Residential Burglary—On Aug. 18 between 4 and 7:30 p.m. on Saratoga Hills Road. Someone entered a person's residence and stole a computer worth $2,000. The homeowner suspects a former employee.
Old Flame—On Aug. 18 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Elva Drive. A woman believes that her ex-husband entered her property while she was away and took $5,000 in cash from a drawer.
High Life—On Aug. 22 at 12:50 on Quito Road. A deputy responded to a complaint about a noisy party. At the property, he found a bag with a green leafy substance that looked like marijuana. No one at the party knew who the bag belonged to. The marijuana was booked as found property.
Tree Removal—On Aug. 18 at 10 a.m. on Ravenwood Drive. Sheriff's deputies investigated a complaint received by city officials about some suspicious tree removals. They found that two palm trees were in the process of being removed without a proper permit. The owner was issued a citation for illegal tree removal.
Mail Jail—On Aug. 18 at 9:28 a.m. on Canyon View Drive. A deputy noticed a person attempting to open a mailbox. The person displayed the symptoms of being under the influence of a stimulant. He was booked into the main jail.
