Vandalism—On Aug. 28 between 1:30 and 8:30 p.m. on Maude Avenue. A person entered the backyard of a residence and turned on a waterfall near a swimming pool. The water flowed onto a swimming pool cover and forced the cement blocks covering it into the pool. The estimated damage is $8,000.
Burglary—Between Aug. 27 at 11 a.m. and Aug. 28 at 8 a.m. on Brookglen Drive. Someone smashed the driver's window of a car and took the person's purse, credit card and passport. The card was used to make purchases worth $182.
Disappearing Funds—Between June 17 and Aug. 25 on Teerlink Drive. An agreement was made between a homeowner and a contractor for some construction work to be completed at his residence. A contract was signed, but subsequently the work was canceled. But the $18,000 given to the contractor was never returned.
False Tabs—On Aug. 24 at 2 p.m. on Saratoga Avenue. A record check on a license plate revealed that the registration had expired in 2003 even though the car had tabs for 2004. The deputy also discovered that the owner had two arrest warrants against him and the tabs had been stolen from another vehicle. He was cited.
Stolen Checkbook—On Aug. 13 on Cox Avenue. A checkbook was lost, and someone used it to cash a forged check for $900. There are no known suspects.
License Plate—Between Aug. 22 at 6 p.m. and Aug. 23 at 12:45 p.m. on Big Basin Way. A license plate was stolen from a Toyota Corolla.
Credit Card—On Aug. 24 at 6 p.m. and Aug. 25 at 9 a.m. on Saratoga Creek Drive. A person realized that his wallet was missing from his car. Some unusual activity was reported on a credit card that was in the wallet.
Property Found—On Aug. 26 on Cox Avenue. Two wallets, a credit card and a cell phone were found. One of the wallets was returned to its original owner.
