Bicycle Thief—Between Sept. 20 at 6 p.m. and Sept. 25 at 5:35 p.m. on Obrad Drive. Three bicycles and a golf bag were taken from an open garage. There are no witnesses.
Broken Window—On Sept. 24 at 8:20 p.m. on Aloha Drive. Someone entered a person's residence and broke two windows.
Vehicle Recovered—On Sept. 25 at 3:45 a.m. on Saratoga Avenue. A stolen vehicle was parked on the street. The vehicle was dusted for prints and the surrounding areas searched for evidence. The car was towed.
Fishy Business—Between Sept. 23 at 3 p.m. and Sept. 24 at 8:22 a.m. on Arroyo de Arguello Road. Someone placed a metal fish on the hood of a vehicle. Adhesive was used to fix it, causing damage to the paint of the car.
Knife Found—On Sept. 24 at 11:45 a.m. on Prospect Road. A juvenile was found with a knife in his possession. Its blade was 3 inches long. The juvenile was cited and released to his mother.
Paint Problem—Between Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. and Sept. 24 at noon on Montpere Way. Someone poured an unknown substance onto a vehicle, causing damage to the paint. The paint peeled off from the roof and on the left side of the car. The damage is estimated at $4,000.
Text message—On Sept. 16 at 9:34 a.m. A person received an anonymous text message on his cell phone that made reference to his homosexuality. He was unable to determine who was behind it. He wanted the person to be identified so that any future harassment would not happen.
Brotherly Violation—On Sept. 20 at 9:47 a.m. on Saratoga and Fruitvale avenues. A person was stopped for a traffic violation. The person gave a name and a driver's license number. He was cited and released. He later called to confess that he had used his brother's name and license.
