Grand Theft—Between Sept. 30 and Oct. 15 on Braemar Drive. A woman kept all her rings in a jewelry bag. She could not remember the last time she saw the bag. There were no signs of forced entry at her house. Her loss is estimated at $4,000.
Vehicle Recovered—On Oct. 15 at 11:30 a.m. on Paseo Cerro. An unoccupied stolen vehicle was recovered. The registered owner of the vehicle was notified.
Missing Passport—Between Jan. 15 and Oct. 14 on Chiquitta Way. A person wanted to go to China but she could not find her Chinese passport. She had to report the loss to the sheriff's station so that she could apply for a new passport at the local Chinese Consulate.
Missing Money—Between Sept. 1 and Oct. 14, a person with medical problems contacted his church and the church helped him find a household worker. The person later complained that personal checks worth $7,000 were missing from his house.
Marijuana Shoe—On Oct. 14 at Quito Road at 1 p.m. A man was stopped for a traffic violation. Sheriff's deputies later found some marijuana in his right shoe.
Syringe Found—On Oct. 15 at 6:50 a.m. on Saratoga and Cox avenues. A person was seen acting weirdly and shouting at people passing by. Deputies arrived and conducted a pat search and found a syringe in his right pocket.
School Knife—On Oct. 13 at 11:28 a.m. on Prospect Road. A teenage girl brought a knife to school. The knife was about 3 inches long. She was cited and released to her parents.
Stolen Vehicle—On Oct. 12 at 10:39 a.m. on Quito Road and Marshall Lane. Deputies apprehended a stolen vehicle that was occupied. They found marijuana, methamphetamines, glass pipes and marijuana in the car. The two men in the car were booked into the main jail.
