If there was a way to score, Tommy Silvas found it when the West Valley Falcons rolled to a 35-7 victory over the Daly City Titans in recent Pop Warner football junior midget division play.
OK, so there was no safety, but Silvas scored just about every way possible for the Falcons in their lopsided victory. He ran for a couple of touchdowns, returned a kickoff for another, kicked four conversions and drilled a 27-yard field goal.
It was more than enough to lead the Falcons to their seventh straight victory in as many games in the 2004 season.
Silvas scored on runs of 27 and 48 yards, and also ran back a Daly City kickoff 73 yards for a touchdown. Will Boring scored the other touchdown for the Falcons when he hauled in a 7-yard TD toss from Chauncey O'Brian.
Silvas kicked the two-point conversions after each of the touchdowns and he also nailed the field goal.
Silvas led the ground attack with 81 yards on three carries in the win and also chipped in defensively with a fumble recovery. Josh Ajlouni was the workhorse in the backfield for the Falcons with eight carries for 69 yards. O'Brian ran five times for 12 yards and Boring carried twice for 10 yards.
Robbie Wright, Matt Marcus and Michael Spork were defensive standouts in the win and Myles Johansen and Joey Vizzusi joined Silvas with fumble recoveries. Will Sparks and Brandon Farley each intercepted passes.
The Falcons now look forward to the start of the league playoffs that are set to begin Oct. 31 at Saratoga High School.
