Sheriff's Report
Rifle Returned—On Oct. 19 at 1 p.m. on Saratoga Avenue. A person turned up at the West Valley Sheriff's Substation and turned in his rifle for disposal.

Identity Theft—Between Oct. 12 and 15 on Holiday Drive. An unidentified person stole $15,150 from a Bank of America account. The check was cashed at a Fresno branch.

Commercial Burglary—Between Oct. 15 and 18 on Village Drive. A person forcibly entered the locked back door of an office, went through some items and then left through the same door.

Stolen Bike—Between Oct. 20 and 21 on Mount Eden Road. A Yamaha dirt bike at a person's property was stolen. The bike was loaded onto a vehicle and was driven in an unknown direction. The bike is valued at $3,250.

Stimulant Use—On Oct. 23 at 5:45 p.m. on Prospect Road. A red Honda was stopped for a driving violation. The person was nervous and fidgety, and his eyelids were fluttering. He was determined to be under the influence of a stimulant. He was booked into the main jail.

Dog Unleashed—On Oct. 24 at 4:55 p.m. at El Quito Park. A dog was running around the park unleashed. The dog's owner was cited.

Construction Burglary—Between Oct. 15 and 18 on Star Ridge Court. A burglary occurred at a construction site that was unoccupied. Equipment worth $2,870 was stolen.

Debit Card—On Oct. 18 between 10 a.m. and noon at Devon Avenue. A purse and cell phone were taken from a car. A debit card from the purse was used at four different locations before it could be canceled.
