The Los GatosSaratoga Girls Softball Association is holding registration for the 2005 spring season. Sign-ups for girls ages 514 (as of Dec. 31, 2004) will be held Nov. 10, 78:30 p.m., in the library at Los Gatos High School and Nov. 17, 78:30 p.m., in the multipurpose room at Foothill Elementary School in Saratoga.
New and returning players are required to register at one of the two sessions. New players must provide a completed registration form (available at www.lgsgsa.org or at the school on the night of sign-ups) and their birth certificates.
The registration fee is $170 per player ($110 for each additional family member). The cost for players in the 6 and under league is $100 per player. Parents are also expected to sign up for a volunteer position in the league.

Saratoga LL
The Saratoga Little League will hold registration verification nights on Nov. 9 and 10, 79 p.m., in the cafeteria at Argonaut School. Players must provide a birth certificate, proof of residency (PG&E bill or equivalent) and the printed version from on-line registration. Parents must also provide a copy of and an original driver's license.
While registering players, all families must also volunteer for a job within the league or pay the $250 "opt out" fee.

Quito sign-ups
Registration for the Quito Little League spring 2005 season is under way. Online registration is mandatory for players ages 512. Tryouts will be held in January with games to be played from March to June. For more information visit www.QuitoLL.org.
Boys lacrosse
The West Valley Redhawks will hold boys lacrosse tryouts for the upcoming 2005 spring season on Nov. 13 and 14 and Jan. 8, 9:30 a.m.noon, at Argonaut School in Saratoga.
Tryouts will be held Nov. 13 for the pups program (grades 56); Nov. 14 for the juniors (grades 78); and Jan. 8 for the junior varsity (grades 910). The tryout fee of $25 includes lunch.
