Leaf Blower—On Dec. 31, between 11:15 and 11:40 a.m., on Raleigh Place. A worker who left his leaf-blower on a curb found it missing. The blower is valued at $400.
Drunk in Public—On Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. on Saratoga Avenue. A person was argumentative with staff at the West Valley Sheriff's Substation. He told a staff member that he would punch him in the face. The person also fell down the stairs. He was booked into the main jail.
Under Influence—On Dec. 29 at 10:15 p.m. on Prospect Road. Deputies noticed a person at a bus stop who was under the influence of alcohol. He was booked into the main jail.
Commercial Burglary—Between Dec. 27 at 4:15 p.m. and Dec. 28 at 7 a.m. on Prospect Road. An espresso machine worth $4,500 was stolen from a tent near a car wash.
Grand Theft—On Dec. 26, between 12:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., on Gypsy Hill Road. Someone gained entry into a person's vehicle and stole a digital camera, a flash kit and some clothes. The total value of the missing items is $1,912.
Grand Theft—Between Dec. 24 at 11:45 a.m. and Dec. 25 at 3 p.m. on Harleigh Drive. Someone entered three unlocked vehicles and took items from all of them. The combined value of the missing goods is $2,695.
Missing Tools—Between Dec. 23 at 4 p.m. and Dec. 27 at 6 a.m. on Herriman Avenue. A plasma cutter worth $2000 was stolen from a construction site.
Petty Theft—On Dec. 23, between noon and 12:30 p.m. on Junipero Way. A handicap placard was stolen from a victim's unlocked car.
Residential Burglary—Between Dec. 22 at 8:30 p.m. and Dec. 23 at 6 a.m. on Granite Way. A homeowner woke up and noticed that his garage door was open and the cabinet doors inside the garage were open too. Some power tools and lights were missing.
Vandalism—Between Dec. 21 at 10:30 p.m. and Dec. 22 at 7:30 a.m. on Westview Drive. Someone cut several holes into an inflatable Christmas decoration located on a person's lawn. The damage is around $100.
Magazine Subscription—On Dec. 21 at 2:15 p.m. on Maria Lane. A person was selling magazine subscriptions without a city permit. He said that he did not know that a permit was needed. The person was cited and released.
Animal Bite—On Dec. 19 at 9:10 a.m. on Crisp Avenue. A person was bitten by a German Shepherd. The off-leash dog bit the person in the leg and the lower back, causing a cut and a bruise.
