Elizabeth Ray, a 15-year-old Saratoga High School student, says her love of drawing began in the eighth grade, when she used to doodle in her notebooks during class. Those innocent doodles have grown into a promising talent in drawing and animation, earning her a title as a 2004 California Arts Scholar and a scholarship into the summer animation program at CalArts.

North campus City budget 'Subway Bandit'
Less than two weeks after the Saratoga City Council voted to sell the North Campus facility, a citizens committee has been formed to save the controversial piece of city property.  More It was a difficult exercise but one that the members of the Saratoga City Council had to go through to determine which city services would remain and which services would have to be cut.  More San Jose police have arrested a suspect allegedly involved in two robberies in Saratoga and another in Los Gatos in recent months.  More
