The friends of Kathryn Holt, a beautiful Saratogan who passed away Dec. 7, 2004, after a 23-year bout with breast cancer, are so proud to be responsible for the 20 live oak trees planted along Fruitvale Avenue in her name.

We gratefully thank Kim at Summerwinds Nursery along with Kevin and Chris, who helped make it all possible by giving us a reduction in the cost of the trees. Also, thanks go to the city of Saratoga for all their efforts in planting the trees. We all think of Kathryn and her remarkable story every time we pass the trees with the pink ribbons in them.

The Village gardeners are grateful to so many for their help and enthusiasm. The love and care for the Village is felt by so many. Please help us if you can.
