Petty Theft--Between July 29 and 30 on Pierce Road. The victim left a backpack near the front door while at a party. When the victim prepared to leave the party, the backpack was missing. The victim reported that the backpack contained a debit card, driver's license and property estimated at $164.50.
Public Intoxication--On July 30 at 12:30 a.m. on Pierce Road and Blauer Drive. An intoxicated person was unable to care for his own safety and welfare and was arrested. The person resisted arrest but did not suffer injuries and was booked into the main jail.
Mail Theft--On July 28 between 8:40 and 8:49 p.m. on Viewridge Drive. Unknown persons took the victim's mail and fled from the scene in a white pick-up truck.
Firearm Destruction--On July 26 at noon on De Anza Boulevard. The reporting party brought in an old rifle that belonged to her deceased father. The rifle was found in her father's garage while she was cleaning out his house. The reporting party requested that the rifle be destroyed. The rifle was tagged and submitted for destruction.
Found Property--On July 26 at 6 p.m. on Via Arriba Drive. The reporting party had a vehicle stolen on July 2. The vehicle was recovered and returned. While cleaning out the vehicle, the reporting party found a license plate that did not belong to the vehicle under the floor mat. The San Jose Police Department reported the plate as being stolen.
Fake Money--On July 25 at 5:30 p.m. on Prospect Road. A person passed a fake $20 bill. The reporting party told the person that the bill was fake. The person fled the scene and remains at large.
Hate Crime/Vandalism--Between July 20 and 21 on Oak Street. School computers were vandalized with racial epithets written over a model of the Taj Mahal. Damage was less than $400.
Burglary--Between July 22 and 25 on Herriman Avenue. An unknown person entered a locked room, forced open a cabinet and stole cash from a cash box. The cabinet was damaged and approximately $50 was stolen.
