Sheriff's Report
Vandalism--On Aug. 19 at 11:22 p.m. on Comer Drive. An unknown person jumped on the hood of a car and kicked the windshield, breaking it. The person fled the scene and remains at large.

Possession of Ecstasy--On Aug. 19 at 2:38 p.m. on Highway 85 and Saratoga Avenue. An officer stopped a driver for driving over a painted yellow line. The driver displayed symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance. The officer arrested her and searched the vehicle, finding two Ecstasy pills and nine Valium pills. The driver was booked into the main jail.

Grand Theft--Between Aug. 18 and 19 on Blauer Drive and Regan Drive. The victim found a 30-inch Apple monitor missing from his garage. The victim believes the culprits are workmen he had at his home the day before. The missing monitor is valued at $3,000.

Battery--On Aug. 18 at 3:20 p.m. on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. The victim was speaking with a person on the telephone and hung up on the person. The person arrived at the victim's place of business, approached the victim and punched him twice in the face. The person grabbed the victim around the shoulders near the neck and shook him. The person left the scene and remains unidentified.

Found Property--On Aug. 17 at 8:10 p.m. on El Camino Grande and Saratoga-Los Gatos Road. An officer found a red plastic toolbox in the bushes near the intersection. The officer booked it into Sheriff Office Evidence as found property.

Grand Theft--Between Aug. 16 and 17 on El Camino Grande. An unknown person(s) stole a wallet, Visa card, gym bag, hockey equipment, cell phone and cash from an unlocked car parked in a driveway. Later that day, the unknown person(s) used the Visa card to purchase merchandise from a 7-Eleven and a Chevron. Prints were collected from the vehicle and submitted to the detective bureau.

Vandalism--On Aug. 16 between 8 p.m. and midnight on Aloha Avenue and Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. The victim parked his vehicle on the street around 8 p.m. When he returned at 12:10 a.m. he found several eggs had been broken on his vehicle causing cracks and chips in the paint. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,500.

Assault and Battery--On Aug. 16 between 11:05 and 11:15 p.m. on Glen Brae Drive and Cox Avenue. Unknown persons in a red convertible threw three eggs at a bicyclist. The unknown persons fled toward Cox Avenue. The victim did not sustain any injuries and did not complain of pain.
