Vandalism--Sometime between 9 p.m. on Sept. 3 and 6:15 a.m. on Sept. 4 on Seaton Avenue. An unknown person threw a plastic yard waste container at a vehicle parked in front of the owner's residence. The vehicle sustained minor scratches and a large dent to the rear door. The plastic container was filled with lawn trimmings and was left in the middle of the street. The victim estimated the damage at more than $1,000.
Soliciting Without a Permit--On Sept. 3 at 2 p.m. on Brockton Lane. A person was found soliciting without a permit on Brockton Lane. The officer issued a citation and released the person at the scene.
Conspiracy--On Sept. 2 at 11:35 p.m. on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. Two females walked out of a store and ran from an officer. The officer conducted an investigative search to determine and located several tools in their vehicle used for committing thefts and burglaries. One of the females was a juvenile. The officer arrested the adult. The juvenile was processed and released.
Malicious Removal of a Phone Line--On Sept. 2 between 5:20 and 5:40 p.m. on Saratoga-Los Gatos Road. The victim's roommate was intoxicated and began banging on the victim's door. When the victim opened the door, the roommate punched him in the left eye. The victim attempted to defend himself by throwing two or three punches that knocked the roommate to the ground. The roommate got up and chased the victim around the house. The victim attempted to call the police. The roommate ripped the phone out of the wall. The victim placed a citizen's arrest on the roommate for battery. The roommate was booked into the main jail.
Burglary--Sometime between 5 p.m. on Sept.1 and 8 a.m. on Sept. 2 on Devon Avenue. An unknown person entered a fenced area at a residential construction site, pried open the side garage door, entered the building and stole several items. The cost of the stolen items is approximately $1,150.
Possession of Methamphetamine--On Aug. 31 at 10:25 p.m. on Congress Springs Road and Pierce Road. The officer checked the driver of a vehicle parked in a remote area and noticed that the driver displayed objective symptoms of being under the influence of a stimulant (constricted pupils, dry mouth and scabby face). The driver admitted to smoking methamphetamine two days prior and said he had a meth pipe in the car. A search of the vehicle revealed a vial containing a usable amount of methamphetamine and a glass meth pipe.
Identity Theft--On Aug. 29 at 4 p.m. on Canyon View Drive. The person used the victim's personal information to obtain a loan from a bank. The account was transferred to a collection agency. The victim was made aware of the account opened by the collection agency. The person has not been arrested.
Burglary-Residential--On Aug. 27 at 10:30 a.m. on Vessing Road. While the victims were on vacation, an unknown person(s) entered a home by removing a screen on a sliding glass window that led into the kitchen. The unknown person(s) stole a laptop computer, several rings and approximately $1,100 in cash.
