John Worobey of Saratoga, 78, died Sept. 17.

Worobey, a native of Chicago, was a veteran of the Army Air Corps and ran his own pharmaceutical practice for many years, first in Chicago and later in the Bay Area.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ann Worobey of Saratoga; daughter, Debs Worobey Rawlings; son, Johnny Worobey; sisters, Vera Parat and Stephanie Jaye; and in-laws Paul Gromosiak and Ed and Jenny Sramek.

Services were held at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Saratoga. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Elmwood, Ill. Donations can be made in his name to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, earmarked to "Charities Fund," 14220 Elva Ave., Saratoga, CA 95070.
