Sheriff's Report
Battery--Dec. 25 at 10:30 a.m. on Palmtag Drive. A person used a closed fist to strike a female on the left side of her head, causing a laceration on her left temple approximately one inch in length. The woman refused medical treatment at the scene and was transported to an emergency room by her daughter. The assailant was arrested and booked into the main jail.

Mail Theft--Dec. 23 between noon and 3:30 p.m. on Candy Lane. An unknown amount of mail was taken from a mailbox. The owner of the mailbox confirmed with a postal worker that mail had been delivered that day.

Vehicle Theft--Dec. 22 between 8:55 and 9:40 p.m. on Cox Avenue. A vehicle was stolen from a parking lot. The owner no longer had the keys and was unsure if they had been left in the vehicle.

Drunk in Public--Dec. 21 at 3:35 a.m. on Titus Avenue. An officer observed a person walking with an unsteady gait and slurring his words. The officer determined that the person was inebriated. A search yielded a driver's license that did not belong to the person.

Petty Theft--Dec. 20 between 8:45 and 9:45 p.m. on Cox Avenue. A person put her purse in an unlocked locker at a fitness club. When she returned, her car keys and wallet, containing a debit card and $60 in cash, were missing from the purse. The debit card was used at several locations immediately after it was taken.
