Vandalism--Between 10 p.m. on Jan. 6 and 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 7 on Carrick Street. An unknown person pried apart a wooden decorative cover on a mailbox and twisted the mailbox. The owner said the mailbox was destroyed and would cost approximately $50 to replace.
Vandalism--Between 7:30 p.m. on
Jan. 6 and 9 a.m. on Jan. 7 on Glen Brae Drive. An unknown person struck a mailbox with an unknown object knocking the mailbox to the ground and rendering it unusable. No witnesses were located. The amount to replace and install a new mailbox was estimated at $150.
Drunk in Public--On Jan. 5 at
10:45 p.m. on Saratoga Avenue and Highway 85. An officer contacted a person who was exhibiting an unsteady gait. The person smelled of alcohol and did not know where he was going or where he had come from. The officer arrested the person and booked him into the main jail.
Mail Theft--Sometime between noon on Jan. 4 and 4:30 a.m. on Jan. 5 on both Candy Lane and Kristy Lane. An unknown person stole mail from mailboxes at two residences. The person discarded the mail in the middle of a street about two miles away from the residences. The mail was returned to the owners.
Petty Theft--On Jan. 4 between
10:30 a.m. and noon on Prospect Road. A person stole a wallet and cell phone from an unlocked locker. The wallet was found a short time later and returned to the owner. The owner estimated the cost of the missing cell phone at $350.
Tool Theft--Sometime between 6 p.m. on Jan. 3 and 9 a.m. on Jan. 4 on Fieldstone Drive. A chop saw was taken from a residence under construction. The value of the saw was estimated at $700.
Unlawful Dumping--On Jan. 2 between 3:30 p.m. and 4:20 p.m. on Bohlman Lane. A landslide occurred on a person's property. The person hired two people to clear away the mud and debris. The person had them dump the mud and debris onto another person's property without consent.
