Vehicle Burglary--On Feb. 19 at 7:10 a.m. on Saratoga and Fruitvale avenues. A person parked his vehicle in a parking lot. A witness informed the person that the vehicle had been broken into. Two people had been seen leaving the scene in a blue Mazda. The driver's side window of the vehicle had been broken out, and several items had been taken. Total losses were estimated at $850.
Grand Theft--Sometime between
10 p.m. on Feb. 18 and 6 p.m. on Feb. 19 on Bucknall Road. A person parked his vehicle overnight on a street with the doors unlocked. A laptop was stolen from the vehicle.
False Bomb Report--Sometime be-tween 5 p.m. on Feb. 14 and 8:15 a.m. on Feb. 15 on Prospect Road. "Bomb in Locker!" was written above a bank of lockers. School staff searched the lockers in the area, finding nothing.
Residential Burglary--On Feb. 14 between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Dolphin Drive. A pair of gold earrings, valued at $300, and approximately $5,000 in assorted costume jewelry were reported missing from a residence.
Vandalism--Sometime between 5 p.m. on Feb. 13 and 8 a.m. on Feb. 14 on Cox Avenue. An unknown person spray-painted the word "fetus" and a picture of a large blue worm on a brick wall that surrounds a trash bin. This was the fifth time the area had been vandalized. The estimated cost to clean the paint was $100.
Attempted Burglary--On Feb. 13 at
4 p.m. on Miller Avenue. A janitor noticed pry marks on a door frame at a church. Someone had tried to pry open a patio door but was not able to gain entry to the church. No items were taken.
Recovered Vehicle--Sometime be-tween midnight on Nov. 21 and 4:10 p.m. on Feb. 14 on McCulloch Way. An anonymous person reported an abandoned vehicle, which had previously been reported stolen. A witness said he knew who had driven the vehicle and provided further information. Two shotguns and three boxes of shotgun shells were found in the vehicle.
