Sheriff's Report

Marijuana--On March 30 at 11:45 p.m. on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road and Walnut Lane. An officer observed a parked car blocking a sidewalk. The officer made contact with the driver and smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle produced a plastic bag containing a small amount of marijuana.

Burglary--On March 30 between 10:10 and 10:40 a.m. on Marilla Drive. A woman left her residence in the morning. When she returned 30 minutes later she noticed that someone had entered her home and stolen $93,157 worth of jewelry and electronic equipment.

Lost License Plate--On March 30 between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Andrew Court. A person believes when he left his home in the morning the front license plate was on his vehicle. When he returned home in the evening, he noticed that the plate was gone along with a piece of his front bumper.

Burglary--On March 29 between 3:30 and 5 p.m. on Fieldstone Drive. Someone entered a residence through an unlocked side door. The person then kicked in a locked master bedroom door. A wooden display case containing six watches worth approximately $45,000 was stolen.

Auto Burglary--On March 29 between 3:30 and 4 p.m. on Titus Avenue. A woman left her purse on the front seat of her vehicle while she went into a school to pick up her child. Someone broke the front passenger window of her vehicle and took her purse.

Battery--On March 29 at 8:05 a.m. on Prospect Road. Someone threw pieces of doughnuts at a group of students. The students told the person to stop, but when he didn't, they threw him on the ground and kicked him, causing minor injuries to his ribs and left eye.

Burglary--Sometime between 2 p.m. on March 28 and 4 p.m. on March 29 on Greenmeadow Lane. An elderly man noticed his wife's wedding ring was missing while his wife was hospitalized.

Theft by Credit Card--On March 28 at 8:51 a.m. on Via Escuela Drive. A woman reported her credit card had been used to make purchases amounting to $5,973.20 at a men's clothing store in Chicago.
