Sheriff's Report

Drunk in Public--On May 21 at 1:29 a.m. on Saratoga Avenue and Dagmar Drive. A person was observed walking with an unsteady gait on a sidewalk. The person admitted to drinking throughout the day and was booked into the main jail.

Attempted Burglary--On May 18 at 10 a.m. on Shubert Drive. Someone removed several pieces of glass from a louvre window at a residence but did not gain entry.

Residential Burglary--On May 18 between 10 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. on Glen Brae Drive. A resident returned home and noticed someone had broken into the residence through a bedroom window. A laptop computer, jewelry and a video camera were taken. Losses were estimated at $4,800.

Vehicle Theft--On May 17 between 10 p.m. and midnight on Cox Avenue and Paseo Presada. Someone broke the passenger window of a vehicle and then stole the vehicle.

Forgery--Sometime between 8 a.m. on May 7 and 8 a.m. on May 15 on Montrose Drive. Someone stole a box of checks from a mailbox. The person wrote two checks for a total of $405.20 before the account was frozen.

Marijuana--On May 16 at 11:30 a.m. on Quito Avenue and Northlawn Drive. An officer stopped a vehicle because the driver was not wearing a seatbelt. The officer smelled marijuana. The driver handed the officer a pipe and a plastic bottle containing a small amount of marijuana. The driver was cited and released.

Identity Theft--Sometime between 8 a.m. on Oct. 1 and 8 a.m. on May 5 on Trinity Avenue. A person received statements for two credit cards that showed an unauthorized person had been using the cards.
