Sheriff's Report

Vandalism--Sometime between midnight and 6:45 a.m. on June 4 on Glen Brae Drive. Someone's car was stolen from the driveway. The doors of the car were unlocked, and the keys were in the vehicle.

Robbery--On June 2 at 1:42 p.m. on Cox Avenue. A white adult male wearing a beige cap and sunglasses entered a bank and handed a teller a note. In the note, he said he had a bomb and demanded the teller fill a bag with money. The teller put $3,184 in his bag. He left the bank and is still at large.

False identification--On June 2 at 8:15 a.m. on Saratoga Avenue at Scotland Drive. An unlicensed driver gave an officer his brother's identification card. The driver also gave a different birth date and a different name. The officer identified him through sheriff's office records with a different name than he originally provided. He was arrested for false identification and driving without a driver's license. He was booked into the main jail.

Curfew violation--On June 2 at 12:10 a.m. on Big Basin Way at Springer Court. An officer cited a 16-year-old who was walking on Big Basin Way because he was out past Saratoga's curfew hours. He was released to his mother.

Commercial burglary--Sometime be-tween 5 p.m. on May 30 and 9 a.m. on May 31 on Saratoga Avenue. Somebody shattered a side door of a business and took a flat-screen television. The business was closed at the time. The television is estimated to be worth $2,000.

Vandalism--Sometime between 9 p.m. on May 29 and 8 a.m. on May 30 on Harleigh Drive. Someone bent the closing mechanism of a resident's mailbox and damaged the wood trim on top of the mailbox. The damage is at least $20.

Battery against a person--On May 30 at 6:20 p.m. on Cox Avenue. A resident was cutting flowers in front of his house when he noticed someone standing in his driveway and yelling obscene language at him. The person in the driveway was holding a rusty green crowbar and wanted the resident to quiet his dog that was barking. The resident said he didn't have a dog. The person with the crowbar jabbed him in the chest twice with the tool and was arrested.
