Sheriff's Report
Drunk in Public--On June 25 at 12:37 a.m. on Vista Arroyo Court and Parker Ranch Road. Two male juveniles were out past curfew and were cited and released to their parents. Two adult males with the juveniles displayed symptoms of intoxication. One of the adult males provided a false name and date of birth to a deputy. Both adult males were arrested and transported to the main jail.
Theft--On June 24 at 3:05 p.m. on Cox Avenue and De Havilland Drive. A person possessed a government check for $939 and a Social Security card he had found. He had not made a reasonable attempt to contact the owner. The person provided an officer with two different names and dates of birth and did not have valid identification.
Petty Theft--On June 23 between 8:25 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Kirkmont Drive. Someone stole a wheel covering from a car parked in front of a residence. The loss was estimated at $50.
Vandalism--On June 23 between 2 and 3 p.m. on Montalvo Road. Someone shot paintballs at the Montalvo Arboretum.
Auto Burglary--On June 21 between 8 and 11 p.m. on Big Basin Way. A gold ring and an iPod were taken from an unsecured vehicle. The value of the items was estimated at $6,800.
Attempted Burglary--Sometime between 7 p.m. on June 20 and 9:50 a.m. on June 21 on Big Basin Way. Someone broke a window and pried a lock on a business door. Entry was not gained to the business, but damage to the door was estimated at $600.
Marijuana--On June 20 at 12:03 p.m. on Fourth Street. Someone reported a large, noisy group in the parking lot of an apartment complex. A person in the group consented to a search of his backpack. An officer located 2.8 grams of marijuana in the backpack. The person was cited and released at the scene.
Elder Abuse--Sometime between 4 p.m. on June 19 and 4 p.m. on June 20 on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. A person reported that her 80-year-old mother was being abused by her caretakers.
Grand Theft--Sometime between 12:01 a.m. on June 5 and noon on June 23 on Westcott Drive. Someone stole two submergible pumps and hoses over a period of three weeks. The value of the items taken was estimated at $1,522.
Check Forgery--Sometime between 8 a.m. on May 25 and 5 p.m. on June 2 on Heath Street. Someone forged a signature on a check and cashed it for $173.18 in San Jose.
