Sheriff's Report
Burglary--On Aug. 12, between 11 p.m. and 6:45 a.m. on Titus Avenue. A person entered an unlocked car in an open garage and removed the XM Satellite radio. The person then took a golf bag containing clubs and shoes that was sitting in the rear garage area.
Burglary--On Aug. 8 between 1 and 2:15 p.m. on Cox Avenue. A person noticed his lock missing from his locker at 24-Hour Fitness. The man's gym bag was still in the locker, but his wallet was missing from inside.
Forgery--On June 22 at 9:30 a.m. on Big Basin Way. A person entered a clothing store and purchased $290.11 worth of clothing with a personal check. The owner received a letter on July 14 stating there were insufficient funds in the account.
Stolen vehicle--Between Aug. 9 and Aug. 10 from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. on North Hampton Court. A person's vehicle was stolen from the front of his residence. He believes his brother, who has stolen his vehicle in the past, may have stolen it again. He has not been able to contact his brother.
Identity theft--On May 26 at midnight on Brandywine Drive. A person noticed $909.42 in charges on his credit card that he did not make. His billing address had also been changed to an address in Utah.
Vandalism--Between Aug. 8 and Aug. 9 from 3 p.m. to 10:20 a.m. on Fruitvale Avenue. Two people broke two windows of a passenger van parked at the rear of a retirement community. No items were taken from the van.
Mail theft--On Aug. 8 at 10:45 a.m. on Saratoga Glen Place. An unknown Hispanic male parked a black 2002 Escalade in front of a mailbox. The owner of the mailbox walked up to get her mail and noticed her mail sitting in the passenger seat of the vehicle. The man said he was sorry numerous times then drove away with the mail. He was arrested Aug. 11 in Watsonville and booked into the Santa Cruz County jail.
