Sheriff's Report

Vandalism--From Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. to Sept. 2 at 9:50 a.m. on Tollgate Road. An unknown person broke the glass enclosure of two outdoor lights mounted on each end of a coded electronic gate entrance.

Auto theft recovery--On Sept. 2 at 2:55 p.m. on Big Basin Way and Third Street. An officer doing a routine patrol noticed a vehicle with a broken ignition in a rear parking lot behind Big Basin Way. Dispatch confirmed the vehicle was stolen. The vehicle was partially stripped, and the battery was missing.

Burglary--On Sept. 1 at 1:37 a.m. on Prospect Road. A person entered a car- wash property during non-business hours and broke the window to the cashier's office. The person climbed through the window and exited with two cash drawers.

Marijuana on school grounds--On Aug. 31 at 12:15 p.m. on Prospect Road. An officer responded to a report of a student in possession of marijuana at Prospect High School. The student was in a metal storage bin located near the softball field during lunch and was smoking the marijuana. He was cited and released to his parents.

Auto burglary--From Aug. 30 at 8:30 p.m. to Aug. 31 at 9 a.m. on Saratoga Creek Drive. A person drove home, locked his vehicle and went inside. When he came out later, he noticed his laptop computer was missing and a suitcase on the rear seat had been opened.
