Sheriff's Report

Residential burglary--On Sept. 1 at 7:15 a.m. on Ravenwood Drive. Equipment and copper wire valued at approximately $3,700 were taken from a residential construction site. A neighbor spotted the person taking the equipment and obtained a license plate number. The person was caught and booked into the main jail.

Shoplifting--On Sept. 6 between 5:50 and 6:10 p.m. on Saratoga Sunnyvale Road at Pierce Road. A person entered a store and selected $163 worth of goods and placed them in a cart. The person then pushed the cart out of the store without paying. The person was stopped by loss prevention and cited and released.

Petty theft--On Sept. 5 between 7:30 and 8:20 p.m. on Carniel Avenue. A person entered the side gate of a residence and took a mountain bike and helmet valued at $390.

Burglary--On Sept. 2 between 3 and 4 p.m. on Cox Avenue. A person entered a woman's locker room at a gym and pried open a locker. The person then took $150 and a credit card from a purse in the locker.

Vandalism--From Sept. 9 at 7:30 p.m. to Sept. 10 at 7:30 a.m. on Montpere Way. A person drove a van through a secured wooden gate, causing $3,500 in damage.
