Jean E. Loughridge
Jean E. Loughridge died on Jan. 29 of respiratory failure related to emphysema at Kaiser Hospital in Santa Clara. She was 81
Born Aug. 13, 1925, in New York City, she married Donald Loughridge on July 21, 1946. She was a member of an award-winning barbershop quartet while living in Seattle and continued her interest in performing when, after moving to Saratoga, she joined the Saratoga Drama Group. She performed in Damn Yankees, The King and I, The Music Man, Guys and Dolls and other productions in Saratoga and elsewhere. She won an award as the best character actress of the year for her performance in Dark of the Moon.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Donald H. Loughridge of Saratoga; her sons Bruce Loughridge of Bremerton, Wash.; Scott Loughridge of Edinburg, Texas; and Barry Loughridge of Saratoga; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
