By Shannon Burkey
A family dispute in the early morning hours of July 5 resulted in a Saratoga man being shot in the face by his brother-in-law, according to Sgt. Ed Wise of the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department.
An argument between the two men broke out around 2 a.m. at a home on Paseo Cerro near the intersection of Quito Road. Police are not sure what instigated the fight.
"It was a family disturbance, but we don't know the specific details yet," Wise said.
The victim was taken to Valley Medical Center, where he underwent surgery. He is expected to survive. The other man was subsequently arrested and booked into the county jail.
Police have not released the identities of either man and Wise said the investigation is ongoing.
