    Public Safety

    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department.

    Strong Arm Robbery--Dec. 11, 9:51 a.m., 400 block of S. Mathilda Avenue. Between 9:30 and 9:35 a.m. a strong-arm robbery occurred in the east parking lot of a financial institution at the above location. The victim was in fear for her safety and handed her purse to the suspect. The suspect took her purse and grabbed a plastic bag containing a bank deposit of $262 from her other hand.

    Residential Burglary--Dec. 11, 3 p.m., 400 block of Costa Mesa Terrace. Victim had his mountain bike worth $5,000 stolen from his garage.

    Petty Theft--Dec. 11, 8:58 p.m., 1300 block of S. Mary Avenue. Suspects entered the store and filled a shopping basket with a 12-pack of toilet paper, boxes of chocolates and toys worth $150. All four suspects exited the store without paying for the merchandise.

    Petty Theft--Dec. 16, 4:30 p.m., 1000 block of E. Arques Avenue. Suspect placed items in hip pocket and left the store without paying for them. Loss prevention agents contacted the suspect and placed the suspect under citizen's arrest. Suspect was cited and released.

    Auto Burglary--Dec. 16, 4 p.m., 400 block of Mathilda Avenue. An unknown person entered a vehicle. Person then reached inside and removed a cell phone worth $100 and an electric shaver worth $75.
