Public Safety

The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department.

Driving without license; possession--Dec. 28, 1:55 a.m. Evelyn and Mary avenues. A 22-year-old male was arrested for driving without a license and being in possession of marijuana.

Theft--Dec. 27, 5;50 p.m. 200 block, W. Washington Avenue. A 31-year-old female was arrested at Macy's for stuffing $1,310 worth of merchandise into a shopping bag and attempting to leave the store without paying for the items.

Possession for Sale--Dec. 29, 1:47 a.m. 100 block, S. Sunnyvale Avenue. After police stopped and questioned a 35-year-old male believed to be dealing drugs, officers searched his hotel room and found an undisclosed amount of methamphetamines, 18.5 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Theft--Dec. 28, 8:40 p.m. 600 block, Grand Fir Avenue. Two cars were broken into, resulting in more than $500 worth of stolen or damaged goods.

Possession--Dec. 27, 6:45 p.m. 700 block, Durshire Way. Following a domestic disturbance, reporting officers ran a check on the male suspect, 74, and learned the suspect had warrants out for his arrest. Upon opening the suspect's wallet, officers found what later tested positive for methamphetamines.
