Public Safety
The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department.
Fraudulent Use of Access Card--Dec. 17, 2:37 p.m., 700 block of N. Mathilda Avenue. Unknown suspect committed fraudulent use of an access card at the above location. The suspect obtained the cardholder's access card and without the cardholder's knowledge or permission frequently used the card for services totaling $595.19.
Petty Theft--Dec. 23, 2:20 p.m., 1000 block of E. Arques Avenue. The suspect took one adult XXX-rated DVD worth $29.99 without paying for it. The store's security placed him under private person's arrest and later released him.
Possession of Substance--Dec. 23, 11 p.m., 700 block of All America Way. A custodial search of the suspect's person yielded a white powdery substance, which tested positive for methamphetamine. The suspect was arrested and transported to county jail.
Auto Burglary--Dec. 23, 9:30 a.m., 1500 block of Tanaka Drive. Unknown suspect forced entry into the victim's van in a carport at the above location and removed a power tool set from the vehicle. No entry was made into the glove box or center console. Suspect merely took two boxes lying on top of the front and rear seats.
Possession of Substance--Dec. 23, 2:27 p.m., 900 block of Azure. Sunnyvale police found a controlled substance packaged for sales. Police also found scales and packaging materials. Suspect #1 was arrested at the residence at the above location.
