Public Safety

The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department.

Theft--Jan.6, 2:30 p.m. 800 San Aleso Avenue. A parked automobile was broken into by unknown suspects, resulting in the loss of $600 worth of property.

Minors in Public--Jan. 6, 12:10 a.m. 600 S. Bernardo. Officers cited two suspects for smoking inside the Dea Sung Korean BBQ.

Theft--Dec. 12, 3 p.m. 1000 Sunnyvale-Saratoga Avenue. For the second time in two months, a burglar broke into a storage unit and made off with an undisclosed amount of goods.

Prowling--Jan. 4, 12:05 a.m. Kifer and Wolfe Road. Officers responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle. When they arrived, they spotted a car driving without its headlights on, circling the parking lot of the Oil Charger. After officers stopped the suspects, they found tools used for burglaries.

Theft--Jan. 1, 10:30 a.m. 160 Kern. An employee of AMD removed a tile to gain access to a locked office where she stole two laptop computers. Officers arriving on the scene immediately suspected an inside job and questioned employees. The employee, age unknown, was questioned in her room at the Super 8 motel on El Camino. Officers also found methamphetamines in the room.
