Jaymie Woodard tossed in seven buckets, including three from three-point range, to finish with 17 points and lead the De Anza Community College women's basketball team to a 62-41 victory over the City College of San Francisco.
The Dons, 18-5 for the year and 3-0 in the Coast Conference, outscored CCSF 33-12 in the second half to break a 29-29 halftime deadlock.
Jane Riley fired in 12 points and Jenny Miller added 11 for the Lady Dons. Kerri Dunn finished with nine points.
Shara Buchanan chipped in with five points for the winners and Bernadette Suffle, Jennifer Faiaipau, Kam Simpson and Leslie Brown had two points each.
The Lady Dons will be on the road to visit Cabrillo on Jan. 15, 5:30 p.m., before hosting Monterey on Jan. 17, 5:30 p.m.
The De Anza men, meanwhile, dropped a tight 86-84 decision to Five Star despite a 30-point effort by Mike O'Neal. Aaron Zaballos supported with 13 points, Ed Huse had 12, J.B. Haskett 10 and Nick Glover nine.
Chris Karanastasis chipped in with six points and Bryan Barnes and Harold Bordenave added two apiece.
De Anza will visit Bethany on Jan. 15, 7:30 p.m., before opening the Coast Conference season at home against San Jose City College on Jan. 17, 7:30 p.m.
