Dons pound CCSF

The De Anza Community College women's basketball team pounded the City College of San Francisco 69-32 to push its record to 4-0 in the Coast Conference.

Sophomore guard Kay Jackson led the Dons with 25 points and former Prospect star Jenny Miller was close behind with 24. Jackson drilled four three-pointers in the win and Miller pitched in six.

Chris Shoemaker bombed six three-pointers on his way to 19 points, but the De Anza men's team dropped a tough 78-69 decision to Chabot.

Nick Glover joined Shoemaker in double digits with 15 points, including three three-pointers, and Nolan Steverson added 13 points.

Sunnyvale Metro Little League signups

The Sunnyvale Metro Little League will hold signups for the 1996 season on Jan. 20, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., at the Raynor Park Rec Building, 1565 Quail Ave. For more information, call James Scripps at 984-1110.
