'I don't know how to describe a perfect person like Lynne," said Christine Flechsig of Lynne Noel, who retired after 23 years of working as the director of the Cupertino Cooperative Nursery School in Sunnyvale. With a background in public school teaching in the state of New York, Noel started her stint at the nursery school in 1975 as a teacher, when her daughter was 3 years old. Noel became parent board president when her son began attending the school, and in 1978, became its director. Noel said her interest has always been in teaching, especially the early childhood years.
