Event touts black history

More than a half dozen business leaders will participate in "Beyond the Dream VIII: Successul Blacks in the American Business and Entrepreneurial World," a videoconference organized by De Anza College to celebrate Black History Month.

The Jan. 31 event will examine the business climate for black-owned businesses, the impact of affirmative action, the past contributions of African Americans to the business world and education's role in creating future entrepreneurs and executives.

The conference happens from 10 a.m. to noon in the Hinson Campus Center, conference rooms A and B. Admission is free. For more information, call 864-8300.
