The following incidents were culled from reports filed by the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Armed Robbery--Jan. 20, 7:58 p.m. Sunnyvale police are seeking a man in connection with an armed robbery that occurred at 762 N. Fair Oaks. Police say a man walked into Fiesta Liquors, waited for the clerk to move behind the counter and then pulled a handgun on him and demanded money. He left the store with money from the cash register. The man is described as a 6-foot, 165-pound African-American male, with a mustache and goatee. He was wearing a full-length black coat with red patches on the front and a hood in the back. He was also wearing a knit hat and one glove.
Possession--Jan. 22, 9:32 p.m. During a routine traffic stop on Arbor Avenue, police discovered the man in the car was driving with a suspended/revoked license and had outstanding traffic warrants. The man was taken into custody, and his car was searched. The search turned up methamphetamines, marijuana, packaging and scales in a backpack on the front seat. He was arrested and taken to Santa Clara County Jail.
Domestic violence--Jan. 22, 11 p.m. A man was arrested on the 300 block of Carroll Street on felony charges of infliction of injury on his spouse and possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
Possession--Jan. 22, 8:40 p.m. A man was arrested and taken to jail on charges of possession, transportation and the intent to sell marijuana and stimulants. The incident occurred on the corner of Arbor and Maple Streets in Sunnyvale.
Auto burglary--Jan. 22, 8 a.m. A man returned to his parked car on the 900 block of Pinto Palm Terrace to find his driver's side window smashed out. A CB hand microphone and a small flashlight, valued at $20, were missing from the car. Police have no leads.
