    Obituary

    Charles Wall Braasch

    Charles Wall Braasch of Sunnyvale died on Jan. 7; he was 72.

    According to his family, he was a retired electronics engineer at Lockheed Missiles and Space Co. At Lockheed in Palo Alto and Sunnyvale, Braasch helped design guidance systems for satellites and for missiles, such as Polaris and Titan. A native of Lincoln, Neb., Braasch served in the Navy in San Francisco and San Diego from 1947 to 1951. He earned a degree in engineering from UCLA in 1956.

    He is survived by daughters Teri Ann Johnson of Palo Alto and Kimberly Braasch of Los Angeles; son Kenneth Braasch of Sunnyvale; sister Susie Constable of Sun City West, Ariz.; brother Duane Braasch of West Hills; former wife Barbara Braasch of Sutter Creek, Amador County; and two grandchildren.

    In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions to the American Heart Association or a favorite charity.
