The Sun Sunnyvale's Newspaper Sports Briefs Firebirds left out The Fremont wrestling results were inadvertently left out of the Jan. 20 story in The Sun covering the 14th annual Gary Bianchini Memorial Wrestling Tournament at Cupertino High. Fremont wrestling stars Anthony Baza and Jamie Kashitani each placed third at the rugged event, and Daniel McCune and James Healy both won consolation titles. Baza was third at 130 pounds for the Firebirds and Kashitani was third at 140, a year after finishing fourth in the same weight class at the tourney. McCune won the consolation B title at 152 pounds and Healy took the consolation B crown at 135. Valentine Run The annual Valentine 10K fun run and 5K walk return to Campbell on Feb. 13, 9 a.m. The event begins at Water Tower Plaza, First Street and Orchard City Drive in downtown Campbell, and the cost is $15 per entrant. Awards will be presented in the 10K division only. For more information, call 866-2105. All-comers meets Los Gatos will host a series of all-comers track and field meets on Saturdays, 12:30 p.m., through Feb. 27. Athletes will compete in these divisions: open, masters men, women's, boys, and girls. The cost is $3 for athletes and $2 for spectators. Proceeds go toward track resurfacing at the high school.
