School board okays construction bonds

Burglaries prompt security inspections





    Public Safety

    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department

    Burglary--Jan. 22, 1:10 p.m., 460 block East Persian Drive. Unknown suspects entered a building in the area, possibly through a door that had been locked. The burglars took the cash register off the front counter and exited through the unlocked front door. The register was valued at $800 and contained approximately $50 in cash.

    Grand Theft--Jan. 20, 12:20 p.m., 1000 block East Arques Avenue. Store security at Fry's Electronics observed the suspect via store video. The suspect was concealing video games on his person. Store security attempted to contact the man after he exited the store without paying for the goods. The suspect ran away from the security officers and dropped the concealed items. Security officers recovered the items and called police.
