Public Safety

The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department.

Molesting--Jan. 29, 12:15 p.m. 1400 Mallard Way. A 30-year-old male was arrested for forcible and continuous molestation.

Assault--Jan. 29, 11 p.m. 200 W. McKinley Ave. A 30-year-old male was arrested for spousal abuse, assault with a deadly weapon and causing injury to a child.

Embezzlement--Jan. 29 3:30 p.m. 300 S. Sunnyvale Ave. A 20-year-old female employee at JC Penney's was arrested after she was caught on videotape attempting to steal $100 from her cash register. Security officers at the store told police the employee had pilfered from the register 22 times in the course of one month, taking $3,098 in cash.

Drunk in Public--Feb. 2, 4:22 a.m. 100 S. Murphy Ave. A 38-year-old male suspect was arrested after police found him kicking at a glass door. The suspect was intoxicated and resisted arrest.

Theft--Jan. 15, 5:01 a.m. 1000 E. El Camino Real. A parked car was broken into, resulting in $1,390 in stolen and damaged property. The victim lost a cell phone power pack, a Kenneth Cole leather attaché case and a men's diamond pinkie ring.

Possession--Feb. 11, 11:50 p.m. 800 E. El Camino Real. A 43-year-old man was arrested after police found usable amounts of cocaine in his car during a traffic stop.
