The Sun Sunnyvale's Newspaper Sports Briefs YMCA programs The Northwest YMCA is now accepting signups for indoor soccer, basketball and roller hockey. The winter indoor soccer program for boys and girls ages 3-7 begins March 20 and runs through April 24. Games are played on Saturdays, noon-2 p.m., and the registration deadline is March 12. Youth basketball for boys and girls in grades 4-8 begins March 20 and runs through May. Games are played on Saturdays beginning at 9 a.m., and the registration deadline is March 12. The cost is $72 per player, and a $25 YMCA membership is required. Volunteer coaches are also needed for the youth basketball league. Roller hockey play for boys and girls in grades K-8 begins April 10 and runs through June 12. Games are played on Saturdays, and the registration deadline is April 2. The cost is $67 per player, and a $25 YMCA membership is required. Volunteer coaches are also needed for the youth roller hockey league. The YMCA also offers a pee wee floor hockey instructional program for boys and girls ages 3-5. Classes run April 10-June 12.
