Public Safety

The following incidents were culled from reports filed by the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Auto Burglary--Feb. 12, 12:16 a.m. A public safety officer responded to a report that a vehicle had been broken into near Locksunart Way and Blue Jay Drive. The officer found a van there with a smashed side window. A cellular phone was stolen from the van, and one fingerprint was found and taken for analysis.

Possession--Feb. 11, 6:35 p.m. Officers arrested a man and, while conducting a pat search for possible weapons, found a crack pipe in the breast pocket of his shirt. He was taken to Santa Clara County Jail on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Under Influence--Feb. 9, 11:00 p.m. A woman was arrested near the intersection of Acalanes Avenue and McKinley Drive for being under the influence of a controlled substance and transportation of a controlled substance. She was arrested and booked into county jail.

Burglary--Feb. 9 A woman was arrested on San Antonio Place on felony counts of residential burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary. She was booked into county jail.

Possession--Feb. 7, 6:15 p.m. A male transient was arrested on the 100 block of E. Maude Avenue for possession of 1.3 grams of methamphetamines and giving false identification to a peace officer. He was booked into county jail.

Possession--Feb. 6, 3:00 p.m. A woman was arrested on the 1500 block of Jackson Street on felony charges of possession of methamphetamines and marijuana for sale. She was also charged with felony child neglect.
