The following are upcoming classes provided by the Sunnyvale Parks and Recreation Department.
Kids in Tune
This class combines music and puppetry to create a fun-filled way for children to learn to listen, move to the music and eventually sing. One parent per child is welcome to sit in and participate. The class, which takes place Tuesdays from March 25 through April 22, costs $43 for residents. There are two classes, one for children ages 1 1/2 to 3 1/2 and one for children 3 to 5 1/2. Embroidery Stitches
An introduction to basic embroidery stitching. The class, designed for children 7 to 12, takes place Tuesdays from March 4 to April 8. The cost is $28 for residents. Call 730-7341.
Indoor Rock Climbing
For beginners interested in the proper way to climb. Classes for children ages 5 to 8 will be held Tuesdays from March 4 to April 1. Classes for children 9 to 13 take place Thursdays from March 6 to April 3. The cost is $78 for residents. Call 730-7758.
Creative Crafts
You and your child can cut, paint, glitter and glue together to create a new and different art project each week. Wear clothes made for getting dirty. The class is for children ages 3 to 5 and meets March 4 to April 1. The cost to residents is $35. Call 730-7341.
