Lady Dons win
The De Anza Community College women's basketball team finished 13-1 in the Coast Conference with a rousing 97-61 win over the City College of San Francisco.
Former Prospect star Jenny Miller sparked De Anza to the victory with 24 points, including four three-pointers. Kay Jackson canned four threes and finished with 20 points for the Dons.
Ex-Pioneer star Kristie Barnes added 13 points, including three three-pointers, and former Willow Glen standout Donalyn Marchi finished in double digits with 10 points.
Kerri Reese added eight points, Aisha Sullivan seven, Selena Miller and Leslie Brown four apiece, Kam Simpson three, and Lori Alvarez and Shelly Savage two apiece.
De Anza men fall
Matt Kelly pumped in 18 points, but the De Anza Community College men's basketball team dropped a 100-80 decision to Ohlone in Coast Conference play last week.
The Dons slipped to 1-8 in the conference and to 6-20 for the year.
Kelly bombed three 3-pointers on his way to an 18-point night, but it wasn't enough for the Dons.
Mario Baca dropped a pair of threes and finished with 15 points for the Dons. Jebraun Jones and Harold Bordenave supported with 10 points apiece, Nick Glover hit eight, Nolan Steverson had seven, and Chris Shoemaker and Jontue Harris added six each.
Soccer players
The De Anza Blue Heat is looking for players for under-13 select and under-14 development teams for the spring season.
