North Sunnyvale experiences building boom

    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department.

    Shoplifting--Feb. 12, 1:19 p.m., 100 block of East Arques Avenue. The suspect entered the store and concealed a $400 computer board on his person. The suspect then selected a magazine and proceeded to the check out line. The suspect paid for the magazine and exited the store without paying for the concealed item. The suspect was placed under citizen's arrest.

    Auto Burglary--Feb. 10, 1:30 p.m., 400 block of East Evelyn Avenue. Unknown suspect threw a car jack through the passenger-side window of a parked car, reached into the locked vehicle, grabbed a briefcase, and fled in an unknown direction.

    Commercial Burglary--Feb. 9, 6:15 p.m., 200 block of Humboldt Court. While in possession of burglary tools, the suspect entered a commercial building. Once inside, the suspect entered one office and rifled through three desk drawers. The suspect was attempting to force open a second office when he was apprehended by a witness.
