Two suspects attempted to kidnap a 20-year-old woman at De Anza College on Thursday, Feb. 11.
Around 12:30 p.m. the victim, a De Anza student, was followed into the parking garage by two men in a red Honda. When the woman was seated in her car, one of the suspects opened the car door. He held a black handgun and ordered her to get out of the car. When she refused, he tried to pull her out. The woman screamed for help, and the suspect ran away. He was seen driving away with another suspect.
The suspect with the gun is described as a Vietnamese male, 18 to 25 years old and clean-shaven. He had black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and a dark blue or black baseball cap. The other suspect was described as a Vietnamese male, approximately 20 years old with black hair and brown eyes.
Prior to entering the parking garage, the victim saw the two men driving around De Anza College in Parking Lot A, and she told officers that she thought they followed her into the parking structure, said Sgt. John Hirokawa, Sheriff's spokesman.
The victim described the car as a 1992-1995 red Honda Civic hatchback. The car has a modified front bumper/spoiler.

Sheriffs arrest man for attempted rape
The Sheriff's Office charged a San Jose man on Feb. 16 with attempted rape and false imprisonment of an employee at a De Anza Boulevard business. Michael Richard Vansickle, 23, was arrested at his home on Craig Drive in San Jose on Sunday, Feb. 14.
Around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13, Vansickle walked into a dry cleaner's on DeAnza. He tried to pull the victim, 21, to the back of the business and assault her. The victim fought off Vansickle by hitting him several times with a telephone receiver. Then Vansickle fled.
Deputy Kevin Greig was able to identify and locate Vansickle from some items he left behind. Vansickle, described as 6-foot, 2-inches tall and 200 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes, is also a suspect in another San Jose case the Sheriff's Office is investigating, said Sgt. John Hirokawa, Sheriff's spokesman.
