Friends of the Library hold spring book sale

The Friends of the Sunnyvale Public Library will hold their spring book sale on Saturday, March 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Raynor Community Center, 1500 Partridge Ave. Members of Friends will be admitted at 9 a.m. Bargain bag hours will be from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. For information call Ed at 248-9635 or Bob at 736-9128.

Business exposition heads to Sunnyvale

The Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce recently staged a seminar to help local businesses learn to put on their best face at expo/trade shows.

Business leaders made presentations at a Feb. 26 seminar at the Sunnyvale Town Center. They included John Waller of Headsets R Us, Cathy Gill of By the Bay AD Specialties and Mona Kellem Gilmer of Communications Plus.

A business expo will be held at the Del Monte Building at 100 S. Murphy Ave. from 4 to 7 p.m. on April 9. For more information, call 736-4971.

Hebrew Day School celebrates 25 years

South Peninsula Hebrew Day School in Sunnyvale will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a dinner at the Santa Clara Marriott Hotel on March 9.

Morey and Barbara Schapira, longtime community and school leaders, will be honored at the occasion. The featured keynote speaker will be Noah Alper, founder of Noah's New York Bagels. Educator Arna Poupko also will speak.
