The following incidents were culled from reports filed by the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Armed robbery--Feb. 17, on N. Mary Ave. Two men robbed a video store at gunpoint, took $700 and fled on foot. Police said the men entered the store at 8:25 p.m. One of them put a handgun to the clerk's head and took the money from a register. No one was injured, and no shots were fired. The clerk said the men were about 30 years old and stood about six feet tall. Each weighed about 170 pounds, and both men were black. One wore a blue jacket, and the other wore a dark one.
Racing--Feb. 15, at the intersection of Alturas and Borregas avenues. A Sunnyvale man was arrested for racing, driving with a suspended license and having an unregistered vehicle. Bail was set at $26,000.
