Afternoon Concert
The Sunnyvale Senior Center will host the San Jose Symphony Chamber Players for a concert on March 2, from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Senior Center ballroom, 550 E. Remington Drive, Sunnyvale. The concert will include the Hummel Trumpet Concerto, the Mozart Horn Concerto, the Overture to the Messiah by Handel and more. There is no cost for the concert, but seats may be reserved by calling 408.730.7360.
Anne of Green Gables
The Peninsula Youth Theatre will present Anne of Green Gables, a musical based on the book by L.M. Montgomery, Feb. 23 through March 4, at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, 500 Castro St., Mountain View. The cast includes Sunnyvale residents Kurt Anthony, Lalitha and Sarah Benjaram, Katelyn Dedrick, Brittany Gilmore, Karen Hynes, and Becky and Megan Johnson. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Fridays, 1 and 7:30 p.m. Saturdays and 1 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets are $12 to $14, with weekday matinees on March 1 and 2, at 9:30 a.m. for $5. 55 Alive
The Sunrise of Sunnyvale will host a 55 Alive Mature Driving course on March 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Sunnyvale Senior Center. Cost for the program is $10. For more information, call 408.730.7360.
