    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department.

    Burglary--Feb. 22, 5:56 p.m., 600 block S. Bernardo Avenue. A suspect entered Safeway and brought $175 of merchandise to the cashier. The suspect showed the clerk a credit card and filled out a check in the card holder's name. It was later determined that the check was stolen and the suspect had forged the signature. The suspect also gave false information to the police upon contact.

    Theft--Feb. 22, 5:50 p.m., 200 block W. Washington Avenue. An officer responded to a report of a suspect in custody with Macy's security for theft. The suspect had allegedly entered the store and selected clothing merchandise off of the racks. The suspect went inside a dressing room and concealed two tank tops inside the soles of her shoes. She exited the dressing room and continued out of the store, walking past registers without paying for the concealed items. Store security apprehended her and placed her under citizen's arrest.

    Grand Theft--Feb. 22, 4:55 p.m., 200 block W. Iowa Avenue. Two suspects were observed grabbing vacuums from a display at Montgomery Ward's and running out of the second-level entrance. A car and getaway driver were waiting. The vehicle was last seen speeding toward Mathilda Avenue.
