Speak Out
Name change unwanted
I am outraged with your reporting on the Persian Drive name change. I am a resident of Fox Hollow. I have spoken with no one who wants Persian Drive to lose its name and I have a difficult time believing you found residents who were pleased about the name change. Why weren't these "pleased" Fox Hollow residents quoted in the article? Obviously, reporting the truth is not important to you.
It is outrageous the city would charge the taxpayers for an $800 study and then the Fox Hollow residents (all seniors, I might add) would be required to pay for their address changes. Did I neglect to mention the expense of changing the street names? Oh, and you mentioned something about the mail delivery being altered?
Next time tell the truth.

Fox Hollow Mobile home residents unhappy
We have been residents of Fox Hollow Mobile Home Park for 24 years and have been regular readers of The Sun. In your Feb. 20 publication, in an article written by Jana Seshadri there was an implication that a street name change of "Persian Drive" to "Mandir Drive" was acceptable to the residents of Fox Hollow Mobile Home Park and nothing could be farther from the truth.
As of now we have a listing of over 100 signatures of Fox Hollow Mobile Home Park residents who hotly disagree with this name change. This list with an accompanying petition supporting our disagreement with this name change will be sent to the Sunnyvale Mayor's office and to the offices of the presiding council members.
